THE DEPARTMENT

The Department of History is an active academic unit of the University in the College of Social Sciences and Development (CSSD) which maintains partnership with government and non-government agencies like the NHCP, The National Museum, NCCA, CCP and private museums. It serves as a center of quality instructions and doing scholarly researches that are presented in various seminars and conferences within and outside the University and in different extension programs held in the country through its Gabay at Sanay sa Kasaysayan (GSK).

Its faculty members who are specialized in the different areas of History continue to be affiliated in different professional organizations either as officers or members. They frequently attend local and national seminar and conferences outside PUP.

BACHELOR OF SCIENCE IN COOPERATIVES

The Bachelor of Science in Cooperatives Program is a more expansive study of all the operations and practices of cooperative social enterprises, thereby serving to provide the much needed manpower requirement of the cooperative sector in the country, with its graduates who will be able to contribute in the succession of leadership, management and operations, and application of knowledge generated from their learnings, and exposure in the academe and in their practicum.

Students who graduate from the Bachelor of Science in Cooperatives Program could design organizational set-up of cooperatives, and exhibit higher degree of competence and expertise in social enterprise business management, social development, as well as community/sectoral organizing and engagement.
